V. P. Bulatov is the director and | |||||||
He was born on April 17, 1937. Graduated from the Leningrad
Shipbuilding Institute in 1963, graduated from one-year scientific training
at Royal University, Belfast, Great Britain, received M.Sc. degree at this
University. Defended Ph.D. thesis in 1968 (Technical Sciences), defended
D.Sc. thesis in 1982 (Technical Sciences).
Since 1984 he is a Professor at Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute (now St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University), since 1985 he is a head of the Department of Technology of Marine Mechanical Engineering (pluralistically). He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers, co-author of the course “Technology of the production of ship power-plants” (1987), three monographs on the problem of precision in mechanical engineering (1992-1994), several patents and brochures. The field of scientific interests is in the technology of ship diesel engine production, technological methods for reliability and resources improvement of parts of reciprocating diesel engines; the theory of precision in mechanical engineering; kinematic and physical dimensional relationships (equations) applied to the theory of diesel engines; friction, wear, lubrication in friction units in machines; problems of mechanical engineering. Awarded by the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and 5 medals by the Russian Government.
