Mg-Li base alloys are the lightest metallic structural materials with a density of 1.35-1.65 g/cm3. They also possess many other advantages, such as high specific strength, high specific stiffness, et al. However, the usages of Mg-Li alloy are often limited by the insufficient properties, of which the poor strength is the most obvious aspect. Accordingly, many literatures reported the alloying process of Mg-Li alloy. In this regards, this paper reports the influences of some alloying elements on the microstructures and mechanical properties of Mg-Li alloys. |
