The presented work considers one of the promising ways of enhancement of strength in ultra fine-grained (UFG) metal materials produced as a result of application of severe plastic deformation techniques. Mathematical modeling showed that structure design in UFG Al and Ti alloys enabled significantly increasing their strength. By introducing impurity atoms with fixed concentration in the matrix and subjecting material to relevant processing, one can form UFG structures with a high strength including at elevated temperatures. |
