A special micromechanism of deformation twinning in nano- and polycrystalline materials is suggested and theoretically described. The micromechanism represents the formation of nanoscale deformation twins through consequent events of nanoscale ideal shear. It is theoretically demonstrated that the special micromechanism of deformation twinning can occur in the non-barrier way in nano- and polycrystalline materials deformed at ultra high stresses. |
