Alexander Yu. POGROMSKY
Born on March 1, 1970; received Diploma degree
in Electrical Engineering from the Baltic State Technical University in 1991;
Candidate of Science degree (Ph. D) in Electrical Engineering from St.
Petersburg State Electrotechnical University in 1994. In 1994 he joined
the Laboratory "Control of Complex Systems"
of the Institute for Problems of Mechanichal
Engineering.In 1995 he visited the Universities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Monash (Australia), in 1997 - the University of Linkoping (Sweden). Dr. Pogromsky served as the Vice-Chairman and Scientific Secretary of the 1st International Conference "Control of Oscillation and Chaos" (COC'97). Since 1999 he has been staying in the Technical University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands).
Fields of scientific interests: nonlinear and adaptive control, nonlinear dynamics, control of oscillations, passivity/dissipativity, signal processing, electromechanical systems, synchronization in dynamical systems.
Dr. Pogromsky has published more than 40 journal and conference papers and the book
