Professor Sergey Arsen'evich Kukushkin is the head of the laboratory of structural and phase transformations in condensed media. In 1977 he graduated the Leningrad Institute of Technology, in 1982 received a PhD at the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute. In 1991 has defended his doctoral dissertation in the Ioffe Institute in Saint-Petersburg.
