Laboratory of Friction and Wear
Introduction:
The overall mission of the Laboratory of Friction and Wear is to promote a better understanding of the origins and basic principles of tribology by solving fundamental problems associated with friction and wear.
The Laboratory's activities include research, consultation, teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, continuing professional education, organizing of conferences.
The Laboratory of Friction and Wear offers consultation on the testing of friction materials and evaluations of friction pairs for various industrial applications.
History:
The LFW was founded in 1986, at the same time with the IPME,
and run for several years by Pof. Vladimir P. Bulatov (1937-2002).
