In honor of the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Russian scientist, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences — Nikita Fedorovich Morozov (RAS Advisor at IPMash RAS, Chairman of the RAS Scientific Council on Deformable Solid Mechanics and Deputy Chairman of the Russian National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics), who is the creator of the authoritative scientific school of mechanics in the country, Springer Publishing House has published a monograph in the series «Advanced Structured Materials», dedicated to achievements in the field of solid and fracture mechanics.

This monograph is devoted to the fundamental relationships between materials and their structure, taking into account mechanical, thermal, chemical, electrical, magnetic and other properties. The monograph presents experimental data and techniques, as well as methods for modeling structures and materials using numerical and analytical approaches. In addition, it shows how these materials and design processes are implemented and how new technologies can be used to optimize materials and processes.
