Eron L. Aero is the founder and first head of the Laboratory of Micromechanics of Materials

Eron Luttovich Aero graduated from the radio engineering department of the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (1959).

Eron Luttovich in 1960-1986 worked at the Institute of Macromolecular Compounds of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1965 he defended his Ph.D. thesis, in 1982 - his doctoral thesis on the topic "Hydrodynamic theory of liquid crystals".

In 1986 he founded the Laboratory of Micromechanics of Materials and was its head until 2016.

He is a co-author of Aero-Kuvshinsky's theory of media (moment theory of elasticity, 1960).

Eron Lyuttovich Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (1999).

On July 11, 2016, Eron Luttovich died in St. Petersburg.
