The preparation and spectroscopic investigation of Sm2O3 doped ZnF2−PbO−B2O3 glasses. XRD patterns confirmed their amorphous nature are reported. From measured densities, various physical parameters – including molar volume, optical band gap, refractive index, electronic polarizability and optical basicity were systematically evaluated and presented.
