IPMash RAS will be the organizer of the 51st conference Actual Problems of Mechanics in memory of D.A. Indeitsev
From June 19 to 21 the Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav the Wise will host 51st School-Conference Actual Problems of Mechanics in memory of Dmitry Anatolyevich Indeitsev, Soviet and Russian scientist in the field of mechanics, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event will be attended by the members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the employees of the leading universities, research institutes and the representatives of the Russian industry. The Conference is aimed at a dialogue between Russian scientists from various fields of mechanics and related sciences, and the representatives of the industrial sector.
The main purpose of the Conference is the creation of the advanced scientific competencies, the development of new methods for solving the complex scientific and technological problems, as well as the formation of prerequisites for the accelerated development of knowledge-intensive industries of the Russian Federation.
The Conference program includes plenary reports, the work of scientific sections in various areas of mechanics, poster presentations, round tables and symposiums.
The organizers of the 51st Conference are the Russian National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute for Problems in Mechanical Engineering of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University. The Conference is held under the patronage of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The Conference Actual Problems of Mechanics was first organized in 1971 by Yakov Gilelevich Panovko, Professor, and his colleagues. Initially, the event focused on discussing nonlinear oscillations of mechanical systems with a finite number of degrees of freedom. This specialization was chosen in the context of numerous national meetings and conferences on theoretical and applied mechanics held regularly in the former USSR. This year, for the first time, the Conference will be held in the unique location of the Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University — the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center «Intelligent Electronics – Valdai”.
