IPMash RAS scientists took part in the Glass Lyon 2026 Conference in France and the ICG Spring School 2026 in Spain.
The 18th Conference of the European Glass Society and the Annual Meeting of the International Glass Commission (April 13-17, 2026), held this year in Lyon, brought together scientists, engineers and industry representatives from the international glass community to present the latest achievements in glass science, technology and applications.

The conference was attended by more than 500 scientists from various countries, among them U.P. Karaseva, a postgraduate student of our Institute, junior research scientist in the Laboratory of Mathematical Methods of Materials Mechanics, with a poster presentation “Modeling viscoelastic behaviour of a nonequilibrium glass”.

Ulyana also took part in the spring Scientific School (April 19-23, 2026), held in Lloret de Mar (Spain), dedicated to discussing glass as a material of the future and environmental problems of glass production. Lectures on the structure, formulation and processing of glass, modeling tools and machine learning were presented at the School for 4 days. Ulyana prepared a report on the results of discussions on the problems of decarbonization of the glass industry, held at one of the brainstorming sessions.
