Employees of the Laboratory of Structural and Phase Transformations in Condensed Media: Sergey Arsenevich Kukushkin, Dr Sc in Physics and Mathematics, Professor, and Andrey Viktorovich Osipov, Dr Sc in Physics and Mathematics, became co-authors of the book Handbook of Silicon Carbide Materials and Devices (2023), dedicated to the properties of silicon carbide, its synthesis methods, as well as to applications in modern smart instruments and devices. A separate Сhapter of the book is devoted to the method of coordinated substitution of atoms discovered at IPMash RAS, which makes it possible to obtain high-quality SiC epitaxial layers on silicon substrates.
