At the invitation of the IPMash RAS Directorate, Emilia Friedman, Professor at Tel Aviv University, a leading scientist, Head of the megagrant 075-15-2021-573 performed at IPMash RAS in 2021-2023, stays in Russia from July 21 to August 3.

E. Friedman is a scientist with an impressive scientific rating (Highly Ranked Scholar) and is one of the 0.05% of scientists with the highest publication activity and citation in the specialty «Control Theory» according to the ScholarGPS rating in 2024. In all there are 378 highly rated scientists in this field in the world, of whom Emilia Friedman ranks 24th in the ranking.

For comparison, there are only two scientists with a Russian affiliation in the specialty «Control Theory» in the ranking — Romeo Ortega, Professor, (Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics), currently living in Mexico (92nd place) and Alexander Fradkov, Chief Scientific Officer of IPMash RAS, Professor of St. Petersburg State University (191st place).

E. Friedman, together with the staff of the Institute, summarizes the interim results of the work created during the implementation of the megagrant by the research laboratory «Digitalization of Analysis and Synthesis of Complex Mechanical Systems, Networks and Environments» (DAS), and identifies promising areas for the development of the DAS laboratory as well as of the other scientific groups of IPMash RAS, continuing research on the subject of the megagrant.
